Module A Annotations - Suspected Acute Myocardial Infarction (ST-Elevations/Left Bundle Branch Block)
  1. Patient With Suspected Myocardial Infarction (MI), With ST-Segment Elevation Or New Or Old Left Bundle Branch Block (LBBB)

  2. Ensure Emergency Interventions

  3. Obtain Focused History And Physical Examination

  4. Are There Alternative Catastrophic Diagnoses?

  5. Initiate Medical Therapy

  6. Is It Less Than 12 Hours Since Onset Of Symptoms?

  7. Can Percutaneous Revascularization Be Accomplished Within 90 Minutes of Patient Presentation?

  8. Are There Contraindications To Thrombolysis?

  9. Initiate Thrombolytic Therapy Transfer To Cardiac Unit (CCU)

  10. Is Patient Response Satisfactory?

  11. Are Ischemic Symptoms Still Present?

  12. Continue Medical Therapy

  13. Monitor And Treat Life-Threatening Arrhythmias

  14. Assess Left Ventricular Function (LVF)

  15. Is Patient At High Risk For Complications Or Death?

  16. Consider Non-Invasive Evaluation For Myocardial Ischemia

  17. Is There Evidence Of Ischemia?

  18. Discharge Patient To Home
