Management of Ischemic Heart Disease
Module F Algorithm - Non-Invasive Evaluation

Link Annotation A: Patient referred for non-invasive evaluation. Link Annotation B: Obtain focused history and physical exam to assess for contraindications to stress testing. Link Annotation C: Are there symptoms and/or cllinical finding warranting coronary angiography? Link Annotation D: Does patient have a contraindication to stress test? Link Annotation E: Is patient able to exercise adequately? Link Annotation F: Does pre-test ECG indicate impaired and sensitivity and/or specificity or patient had previous revascularization? Link Annotation F: Does pre-test ECG indicate impaired and sensitivity and/or specificity or patient had previous revascularization? Link Annotation F: Does pre-test ECG indicate impaired and sensitivity and/or specificity or patient had previous revascularization? Link Annotation I: Perform pharmacologic stress test with imaging modality. Link Annotation H: Perform exercise stress test. Link Annotation G: Perform exercise imaging stress test. Link Annotation J: Is there adequate information for diagnosis or prognosis? Link Annotation K: Do test results indicate high or intermediate risk for a coronary event? Link Annotation L: Is the patient a candidate for a revascularization procedure? Link Annotation N: Consider imaging stress test or referral to Cardiology. Link Annotation M: Do test results indicate myocardial ischemia, but low risk? Refer to Cardiology for angiography. Return to referring module with undetermined results. Return to referring module with negative result. Return to referring module with positive result.
